27 years into a 2-year plan, the Cummins family have been living and running the Endeavour Inn in Emu Park since construction began in 1987.
Builders by trade, Graham & his father Tom constructed the Endeavour Inn after securing the block of land at auction, exploring all the options for the maximum opportunity that the land would offer.
When the Endeavour Inn opened on February 26, 1988, the building was nothing short of “prestigious” – as reported by the newspapers.
Graham and his family (wife Diane, children Lance, Ben, Jason and Emma and parents Tom & Ruby) have worked very diligently in order to own and establish the business, providing 24-hour onsite management.
The hard work paid off with thousands of tourists visiting over the years from local, interstate and overseas. “We have gained many friendships and enjoyed meeting the many interesting and pleasant people taking advantage of our accommodation to bask in the quiet serenity the Capricorn Coast has to offer.”
The Cummins family have witnessed the town grow with curb to curb bitumen developed around the streets, construction of the skate park, the beautiful upgrade to the township and most recently – the completion of the new Super IGA. “We enjoy being part of this wonderful local community.”
